Two tasks, each with its own time limit. Read this page first, then move on when you are told to.

What you may use

• Any AI tool you like, plus search engines, any document on the internet, and scrap paper. That is how this division actually works, so it is how you are asked to work today.
• What you may not do: message or call anyone else, and take the question sheets out of the room.

What is actually being judged

• Not how polished your answer looks. How well you understand what you hand in. Later today you will be asked to explain your reasoning point by point.
• If you do not know something, write that you do not know. That answer is valued, not marked down.
• If you are unsure about anything in the questions, decide for yourself and write down the doubt. The doubt itself is part of what is being read.

Time

• Task one: 90 minutes. Task two: 60 minutes.
• When time is up, it is up. Whatever is unfinished stays unfinished, so choose what to do first with that in mind.

The situation

An organising committee is running a futsal tournament between companies. Last year the same committee ran a fun run, and its registration form was online: one person filled in one form for themselves.

Yesterday the committee sent over two Word documents and a short message:

What the team registration form contains, in short:

• A team is seven players from the same company.
• The identity section (name, national ID number, date of birth, phone number, job title, jersey size, emergency contact and so on, 12 fields in total) is filled in by each player individually.
• The team section (team name, jersey colour, company name, preferred match times) is filled in by the captain alone.
• Every player attaches a photo, a scan of their ID card, and a medical certificate from a doctor.
• Every player signs a waiver accepting the risk of injury.
• The captain is the only person who deals with the committee.
• Completion time stated in the document: 40 to 50 minutes.
• The form is filled in after the team has registered and paid the entry fee.
• Once registration closes, the committee draws up the match schedule within 3 to 5 working days.

Some of what the two documents say does not match. The number of players, and the way the entry fee is calculated, differ between the general rules and the registration form.

• Hand both answers to your assessor. Anything unfinished can stay unfinished.
• After lunch there is a conversation about what you wrote, roughly 40 minutes. You will be asked why you answered the way you did, and which parts you wrote yourself versus took from an AI tool. An honest answer counts for more than a tidy one.
• Then there is time for your own questions about the role.
• A decision reaches you within two working days either way.
